Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. She was encouraged by her dentist, parents and teacher who were both instructors in her pursuit of her passion for acting. It was in stark contrast to an earlier desire to become a primateologist because she loved monkeys. Her rise to stardom as a young actress was quick and accompanied by her early successes. After completing her studies She was a participant in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. She took home the award for best young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career acting as an actress. Tautou went to the Institut Catholique de Paris, and was a member of the church when she was a young girl. She has since left the church. The actress claims she's not necessarily Catholic. The model pursued her career as well as acting and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. As well as her acting profession She also takes an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. Her photography is focused on celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinized her after her meteoric rise in fame thanks to Amelie. In addition, there are a number of photographs featuring her own self. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her first role in Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie won international acclai box offices and was well-received at awards ceremonies across all over the world. Amelie is the most successful french-language film to hit the US. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in several films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In addition, she was a part of Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
