Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic performance. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. In 1969, she participated in the Romanian Junior Games and finished 13th. She won in 1970. She took home three golds at her very first contest, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals in her debut competition as a senior that took place in 1975. It was the first time she participated as an older senior. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars using a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career as an entertainment professional as a teenager in which she was a part of the figure skating duo of the sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business in her teens. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
